Position Responsibilities
The Department of Physical Therapy at Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting for a pool of persons for possible part-time adjunct teaching positions. This pool will be utilized on an as-needed basis. Your application will be active for one year. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
Teaching will occur in the entry-level doctor of physical therapy program within one or more of the four physical therapy practice patterns course sequence: cardiovascular and pulmonary, integumentary, musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program
- Current Virginia Physical Therapy License
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
- >3 years of clinical experience in the desired physical therapy practice area
- Teaching experience within a physical therapy program in the content area(s) of need
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
