Lab Technologist

Prepares grant applications, manuscripts, Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, research papers, and assists with complex research papers. Audits research studies, monitors study budgets, resolves complex data collection issues, and implements protocol-specific study recruitment plans. Trains staff and oversees student workers; leads team meetings. Monitors study budgets and orders supplies.

This position is for a Vascular Lab Technologist who will be part of a team that performs ultrasound exams and other non-invasive tests for research studies that assess subclinical atherosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases. Duties include conducting ultrasound vascular testing, basic anthropometric measures, blood pressures, ABI’s and other vascular testing, utilizing software programs to read studies, training, protocol development, and projects as needed. In addition, Microsoft Office will be used for administrative tasks.

Effort as necessary to position participants when conducting various tests.
