Job Description Summary:
The KU School of Nursing Office of Academic and Faculty Affairs is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Academic Programs Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our academic programs by managing various administrative tasks and providing support to faculty, students, and staff. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Job Description:

Required Qualification

Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. A combination of education and related work experience may be substituted for the degree on a year-for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Master's degree in a relevant field.

Work Experience:
  • Previous experience in academic administration or coordination preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and SharePoint

Skills:
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines.


Job Duties Outlined
  • Coordinate with the Registrar in establishing Enroll & Pay sections for each semester and CIM/CAT, Student Permission number, catalog processes.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff in managing and updating all Academic Program calendars.
  • Assess need for permission numbers within each enrollment cycle.
  • Collaborate with faculty in determining books for each semester, completing the ordering of desk copies and collaboration with the Bookstore as needed to ensure that student access to resources is completed and correct.
  • Collaborate with Technology and Learning Teams (TLT) to provide support for weekly program needs, including Oral Exams and classes for on-campus learning experiences.
  • Coordinate annual curriculum retreat, including both campuses and online faculty and staff.
  • Collaborate with other areas in the SON on processes, as needed, e.g., program evaluation.
  • Collaborate with other SON and KUMC offices to ensure processes are efficient and meet the needs of learners and faculty.
  • Maintain and update the SharePoint sites to ensure accessibility and accuracy of information.
  • Prepare annual reports summarizing the program outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Compensation Statement:

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
