Facility Coordinator
The Tippie College of Business seeks a Facility Coordinator to assist the Director of Facilities with providing oversight for facility assets which currently includes the Pappajohn Business Building and the Pomerantz Center. This position will assist with all aspects of maintaining and improving the facilities of the Tippie College of Business.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (KARS)
- Operational Management
- Execute building review and inspection plan as directed
- Monitor, execute and supervise repairs and modifications within Tippie (Pappajohn & Pomerantz buildings)
- Secure necessary supplies and equipment for completion of projects
- Assist with setups, takedowns and general rearrangements of furniture
- Routinely inspect facilities to ensure appropriate safety and health standards are met
- Develop, nurture and maintain effective, productive and collaborative relationships with university community
- Schedule and document maintenance and repairs
- Project or Event Design and Management
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for service and repairs
- Assist with construction and remodeling projects
- Oversee warranty program and act as liaison with vendors
- Provide support for meetings and conference room reservations
- Strategic Planning Initiatives
- Support and provide resources for preventative and corrective maintenance programs
- Human Resources
- Assign, train, lead and supervise student employees
Financial Management
Assist with and provide forecasting of project expenses

Education Required:
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications:
- Typically one to three years job-related experience in the construction trades
- Written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate and interact effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work as team member under pressure, adapt to change, and perform work efficiently and accurately
- Demonstrated high attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to interact positively with a diverse population
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet and maintain UI Fleet Safety driving requirements
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize and meet deadlines
- Frequently move and position materials and supplies up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated computer skills such as Microsoft Office, Internet research, CAD, Giza
- Knowledge of University practices, policies and procedures
- Working knowledge and ability to interpret blueprints and/or CAD files
