PHYSICAL THERAPY RESIDENCY PROGRAM DIRECTOR

(Part Time)

The St. Ambrose University Physical Therapy Department in Davenport, IA invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Residency Program Director. St. Ambrose University has two post-professional residency programs. Our Orthopaedic Residency Program enrolls 4-6 residents per year and is accredited through 2031 by the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education. Our Pediatric Residency Program began in 2024 and currently enrolls 1 resident with plans to grow to 3 per year after completion of accreditation. The Residency Program Director will provide administrative oversight of both programs and collaborate with several clinical partners throughout the Midwest. The Director must have expertise in the area of musculoskeletal physical therapy and manual therapy in order to provide content instruction in the Orthopaedic Residency curriculum.

This is a part time position with approximately 12 hours of responsibility per week. Hours are flexible with the expectation of occasional weekend work around synchronous courses/continuing education events.

Candidates should be a licensed physical therapist and have contemporary expertise and knowledge in the area of musculoskeletal physical therapy. Candidates should be a board certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy and can demonstrate ongoing education and/or training in this area. Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and mentoring is desired. Previous administrative experience, knowledge of accreditation, curriculum development and budget management will enhance the candidate's application.

This position will start in July 2024 and time will be provided for transition with our current Residency Program Direction.
