Salary Range:$65,600.00 To 98,400.00 Annually

Job Summary  

The IT Director is responsible for overseeing all technology operations and evaluating them according to established goals.  The IT Director must be knowledgeable about the hierarchical infrastructure of healthcare information systems. Responsible for management, maintenance, upgrade, and enhancement of the enterprise systems such that they meet performance and availability standards.   The IT Director must ensure our IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, cost-efficient, and operationally sound, reflecting business needs and best practices in creating value for PHC and our patients.  This role is focused on analyzing the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs.  The IT Director is in charge of a team consisting of a System Administrator and Helpdesk Associates. 

 

Essential Functions 

  1. Lead, develop and implement IT initiatives that enable PHC to effectively execute its mission in a constantly changing and demanding healthcare environment.
  2. Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems
  3. Translate the company's vision into IT systems and procedures, articulating this critical link to PHC stakeholders, including the Executive Team, Board Members, IT staff, and employees.
  4. Ensure the organization's IT Infrastructure is appropriate for supporting current and future business needs
  5. Hire, manage, motivate, and develop all IT staff. .
  6. Develop, plans and budgets in light of internal work needs and operating units’ approved projects
  7. Provide project leadership on IT-related projects
  8. Participate actively with senior leadership to ensure our systems environment addresses the needs of PHC.
  9. Manage and report on allocation of IT budgets
  10. Implement and enforce organization Information Management policies and best practices
  11. Works collaboratively with senior leadership, providing subject matter expertise to achieve optimal outcomes.
  12. Backup to the System Administrator, as needed
  13. Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with strategic service partners and vendors
  14. Document and maintain IT assets, including appropriate inventories of hardware and software.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology.

 

Experience: 

  1. Five years of experience in the Information Technology field.
  2. Four years of leadership/supervisory experience.
  3. System Administrator and Network Administrator experience.

License/Certifications: Information Technology Information Library (ITIL).

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Proficiency in English language skills.
  2. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in English with people from diverse professional, educational and lifestyle
  3. Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel.  
  4. Training and presentation skills.
  5. Able to explain technical issues and topics to a non-technical audience.
  6. Exceptional customer service skills.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills
  8. Analytical/problem solving skills
  9. Demonstrated ability to create and maintain budgets and meet financial goals
  10. Technical writing experience.
  11. Working knowledge of HIPAA and Cyber Security
  12. Able to work independently and be held accountable for outcomes
  13. Able to work effectively with a diverse group
  14. Basic knowledge of project management
  15. Able to manage and lead teams

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age 
  2. Must be able to commute to multiple locations

Education: N/A

 

Experience: 

1. Ten years of experience in the Information Technology field.

2. Three years of experience in a health care/community health care setting.

 

License/Certifications:  IT related certifications e.g., TOGAF, CompTIA Network +, ITMLP

Typical Work Hours

This position typically works 40 hours per week. 

 

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation is dependent on education and experience.
