Responsibilities of the Regional Finance Director include:
• Manage processes and procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and period close.
• Ensure financial results for each publication are accurately stated in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Review and assist in the completion of various monthly financial reports and review department financial results with department heads.
• Development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the Company.
• Ensure strong internal controls are in place and operating effectively to safeguard company assets including approval processes, reconciliations, and physical verifications. Recommend and administer policies and procedures to ensure integrity and accountability for all financial and operational reports.
• Provide support to internal and external auditors related to any audits.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, including preparation of contingency plans, working closely with the department heads to ensure accurate budgets and projections.
• Assist with the monthly reporting on capital budgets for project completion and work with department managers on various capital projects and submission/approval of major expenditure request forms.
• Support market presidents and publishers in preparation of various analysis, reports and presentations as necessary.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience of relevant financial modeling, analysis and reporting experience with proven track record of forecasting and budgeting.
• Understanding of the role of finance as a business partner and ability to influence the organization.

• Moderate to advanced computer skills; ability to learn new software quickly.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of accounting experience; media industry experience a plus but not required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. MBA and/or CPA or CMA preferred.
