Position Objective:

Grow profitable sales through: presenting products published and distributed by Kregel Publications to Key Accounts and Sales Reps, with regular follow up and communication; analyzing data with the end result of maximizing and growing product potential; and expanding channels and sales reach. Assist in developing strategic sales plans for Kregel Publications publishing imprints.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain regular and personal contact with all assigned customers and present all new products to customers during each selling season.
  2. Provide appropriate follow-up with customers and work to assure customer satisfaction.
  3. Maintain an account profile for each assigned customer and provide buying assistance and recommendations that meet this profile along with sales materials and marketing materials to increase the breadth and depth of Kregel products. Discern patterns of sales with accounts and develop action plans for growth.
  4. Assist assigned accounts in development of a positive relationship with Kregel by making sure that each customer has access to Kregel materials, programs, and personnel as required by the customer.
  5. Conduct analysis of top accounts and sales trends and communicate findings with other sales and marketing personnel and company leadership. Conduct other sales analyses and formulate sales strategies. Probe what's working well, and what strategies need adjustment.
  6. Provide information, evaluations, and recommendations to the marketing department regarding trends, needs, and other customer information to assist in maintaining and increasing sales to assigned accounts.
  7. Provide all requests for marketing, publicity, and promotional support from assigned customers, and offer recommendations and suggestions on the best execution of such support to the marketing department for review and execution, including co-op expenditures and collaboration with marketing groups (Parable, Munce, etc.).
  8. Participate and contribute to Pub Board meetings, providing insights regarding competition and trends as well as sales projections.
  9. Provide input and leads on possible distribution partners.
  10. Call on new or prospective ministry, organizational, and institutional contacts to grow the list of active Kregel customers.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of sales or related experience

Familiarity with the Christian publishing industry
