Veterinary Technician Team Lead

If so, Durango Animal Hospital might be the right fit for you. We are currently looking for our next Veterinary Technician Team Leader.

Qualified candidate must have 4+ years experience as a Veterinary Technician/Assistant. Experience includes, but is not limited to, phlebotomy, anesthesia, proper animal restraint, hospitalized animal care, catheterization, x-ray, dentistry, vaccine administration, and a continual willingness to learn new things and techniques. Must be able to communicate to team members and clients in an effective, professional,and courteous manner. At least one year of prior team lead or supervisory experience is also required.

Beyond being a stellar technician, duties also include the following:
1. Social/emotional /educational support for staff
2. Maintaining inventory and developing relationships with sales representatives
3. Training and Hiring new technicians and supporting new veterinarians .
4. Implement and maintain all protocols per doctors.
5. Work closely with Management to create and implement new ideas.
6. Create schedules for the Technician Team.

Pay is starts at $24.00+ per hour based on experience and credentials.
