Medical Laboratory Scientist

Medical Laboratory Scientist Multiple positions - Community Medical Center is looking for Medical Laboratory Scientists to perform medical lab tests, procedures, experiments, and analyses for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Conduct chemical analyses of body fluids for normal and abnormal components; perform blood group, type, and compatibility tests for transfusions. Study blood cells, numbers, and morphology and perform EKG’s, Holter monitors and event recorders. Analyze test results and enter findings in computer. Perform quality control studies, participate in proficiency testing, and use appropriate quality control measures. Assist in maintaining daily lists and appropriate statistics of patients and adequate supplies and equipment. Perform routine preventative maintenance on instruments and equipment, verify instrument functioning. Document instrument data and records in logs with any repairs, replacement, and maintenance. Assist in implementation and completion of department Quality Assurance program and participate in corporate compliance program. Full-time, which includes alternating night and weekend call coverage. Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Medical Laboratory Science or closed related medical field and current ASCP.
