Job Description

The Program Officer I will act as a primary liaison for student admissions and early college courses registration with assigned K-12 district(s) by identifying and engaging appropriate connections and partnerships between West Charleston region schools, CSN Western High-Tech Center and department. In collaboration with WC Early College Manager, assist with the development and delivery of high school information, admissions and registration sessions and support services in coordination with Call Center, Academic Advising and Learning Enhancement Center.

Review position administers, oversees staff in the delivery of placement testing, proctor training, compliance monitoring of the process and timely coordination and delivery of onsite support services. Travel between campuses, work weekends, evenings and overtime as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, or other discipline related to the program assignment OR graduation from high school or equivalent education AND two years of para-professional program support experience equivalent to an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada State service which required the application of State and/or federal laws, policy and procedures; reviewing documents prepared by others for program compliance determinations; or preparing reports which summarize financial and statistical information; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.


Schedule Weekly Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Salary Information:
Grade 31, Step 1 $49,047.12

Per Nevada Administrative Code (NAC 284.170), salaries for initial appointments for classified positions typically begin at Step 1.
