Chair, Department of Surgery
The Department of Surgery at Creighton University School of Medicine in partnership with CHI Health and Creighton University Medical Center seek a nationally recognized, full-time, tenure track Clinician-Investigator at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor to serve as the Chair of the Department of Surgery.
Qualified candidates will have a record of significant academic and clinical accomplishments with a track record of peer-reviewed publications and consistent research productivity. Experience in program building and funded research are desirable. Candidates should have experience mentoring trainees and junior faculty, have outstanding teaching and clinical skills, and be comfortable working in a highly matrixed organization.
The Chair should be an exceptional surgeon and active clinically. The percentage of clinical effort is negotiable. Candidates must be board-certified in Surgery and have experience within an ACGME accredited training program.
The Surgery program has an active residency program with 24 residents and faculty members. The start date is negotiable and the position will stay open until filled.
